General Apps Regulations
General Permitted Development Order (GPDO)
Regulations made by the government which grants what is effectively a nationwide planning permission for specified minor developments. The full title of the current GPDO is the Town and Country Planning (General Permitted Development) (England) Order 2015 (SI 2015/596). At the time of writing one amendment has been made to this Order, but it is possible further amendments may be made to it in future.
General Specification

Glare
Bright lights that reflect off a display screen and impede a person’s sight, often causing excessive eyestrain and headaches.
Goodwill
Goodwill: Intangible business asset based on the good reputation of a business and resulting attraction and confidence of repeat customers and connections. Part of the sale price of a business may be for goodwill, in which case the seller may not solicit former customers for his new business.
Green Belt
A designation for land around certain cities and large built-up areas, which aims to keep this land permanently open or largely undeveloped.
Greenfield Land
Land (or a defined site) usually farmland, that has not previously been developed. This should not be confused with Green Belt which is a specific designation.
Gross negligence
Gross negligence: Act or omission in reckless disregard of the consequences for the safety or property of another more than simple carelessness or neglect. Gross negligence by an employee may justify summary dismissal.
Guarantor
Guarantor: Person who pledges collateral for another”s contract.
